The ceremony of "worshiping Matsu in the morning and chanting sutras and praying for blessings" is a solemn worship ceremony carried out by Meizhou Mazu Temple to expand the regulation of "Shuowang to practice incense, recite sutras and pray for blessings" according to the ancient rituals. According to the common practice of "five drums", every morning, the main content of the ceremony is to recite the True Sutra of the Madonna in Meizhou Heaven. In order to create a more pious and solemn worship atmosphere, starting from September 1, 2022, the "Morning worship Mazu, chanting and praying" ceremony has implemented a new management system, and incense tourists participating in the morning worship ceremony are required to go to the designated place one day in advance to make an appointment. Xiang tourists who have successfully made an appointment can attend morning worship with the appointment slip before 6:00 the next day (before 6:30 in winter). Staff on the spot will provide blessing cards, seal of Mazu, wear ribbons and guide them to the pilgrimage area with tickets.
