The ceremony of "praying to Mazu in the morning, chanting scriptures and praying for blessings" is a solemn worship ceremony in which the Mazu Ancestral Temple in Meizhou expands the rules of "observing incense on the new moon, chanting scriptures and praying for blessings" in accordance with the customary practice of "Five Drum". In accordance with the "Five Drum", the "Meizhou Holy Mother of Heaven" is recited in the early morning every day. The main content is to lead all Mazu present to believe in her faith, rub their hands and pick incense, and pray to the Virgin Mary in heaven. In order to create a more devout and solemn worship atmosphere, starting from September 1, 2022, the "Morning Worship to Mazu, chanting scriptures and praying" ceremony will implement a new management system. Xiangshan tourists participating in the morning worship ceremony must go to the designated place one day in advance to make an appointment. Registration. Tourists who have made a successful reservation can attend the morning service before 6:00 the next day (before 6:30 in winter) with the reservation slip. On-site staff will provide blessings, stamp the Mazu seal, wear ribbons and guide them to the pilgrimage area.
